Becky Garverick Joins Hicks Johnson as First Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer

Hicks Johnson announced today that Becky Garverick has joined the firm as its first chief marketing and business development officer (CMBDO). Garverick, a seasoned legal marketing executive, will focus on strategic client development programs, expanding client service offerings, and strengthening the firm’s market presence both in Texas and nationwide.

Garverick has two decades of experience leading business development initiatives for Am Law 100 firms. She comes to Hicks Johnson from White & Case, where she served as associate director of business development for the firm’s Americas Region. Prior to that, she held business development positions at King & Spalding, Kirkland & Ellis, and Haynes & Boone.

The addition signals a new phase of growth for Hicks Johnson. While the firm remains steadfast in its dedication to delivering exceptional legal services, as it has for the past 17 years, Garverick’s expertise will enable the firm to capitalize on new opportunities. “We are thrilled to welcome Becky to our leadership team,” said managing partner Andy Hicks. “She is a forward-thinking professional with a proven ability to generate new business. Her energy, insight, and vision will play an instrumental role in our firm’s ongoing evolution.”

Partner Logan Johnson added, “The firm is entering a period of rapid expansion. Becky’s arrival is the first of several exciting milestones that we will be announcing in coming months.”

“I am extremely impressed by Hicks Johnson’s Chambers USA-ranked commercial litigation practice and individual lawyers, as well as their exemplary courtroom record,” Garverick stated. “Hicks Johnson already has a strong foundation built on integrity, experience, and client trust. I look forward to helping the firm identify new ways to serve its clients and lead the market in years to come.”
