In recognition of his significant experience and skill as a trial lawyer, the Texas Board of Legal Specialization (TBLS) has certified Hicks Johnson founding partner Logan Johnson in the specialty area of Civil Trial Law. 

This distinction is reserved for lawyers with substantial trial experience and expertise who have completed extensive continuing legal education hours in their practice area. Candidates also must pass a rigorous exam. Logan joins a select group of peers; less than 1% of all licensed attorneys in Texas are certified in Civil Trial Law.

The TBLS was established in 1974 by the Supreme Court of Texas and is overseen by twelve members appointed by the president of the State Bar of Texas.
