As knowledge management counsel, Jennifer leads Hicks Johnson’s efforts to drive innovation, improve client service, and institutionalize firm knowledge. In collaboration with litigation teams, Jennifer develops and manages the firm’s litigation knowledge bank and precedent library, and monitors legal and industry developments relevant to the firm’s core sectors. She also captures knowledge from significant matters, creates processes for sharing knowledge across the firm, and develops and implements Electronically Stored Information (ESI) and document-review protocols.
In addition to supporting the litigation teams, Jennifer plays a significant role in attorney training, particularly on topics such as complex litigation workflows, discovery protocols, and evolving legal technologies. She also partners with the business development and marketing team to produce thought leadership content and key client-facing materials.
Jennifer’s knowledge management work is informed by her deep experience handling a range of complex commercial litigation, including oil and gas, construction, and intellectual property matters. She is particularly well-versed in issues relating to breach of contract, business disputes, business torts, bankruptcy, and fraudulent transfers.
Jennifer also draws on more than a decade of experience as an e-discovery specialist, providing technical and strategic guidance to help clients solve their toughest e-discovery challenges. She works closely with clients and firm lawyers one-discovery efforts, including data preservation, collecting, processing, and review. Jennifer also ensures ongoing compliance with firm protocols, industry best practices, and all phases of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) lifecycle.
